BONUS MODULE #1: ENERGY THERAPY

Do you want to learn more about the healing power of Energy Therapy?  Perhaps you find yourself drawn to healing work and alternative medicine?  Well here is your chance to learn some of the basics behind Usui Reiki, an ancient Japanese form of energy therapy.  In this bonus module you will learn about the principles of energy therapy, what happens during a treatment, and all of the amazing benefits to being treated and also for those curious... information on becoming a practitioner yourself.

The Principles of Energy Therapy

Energy therapy can heal the cause of a problem at whatever level it make exist: Physical, Emotional, Mental, Spiritual.  The energy, for instance with Reiki, is channeled so your own energy reserves are never depleted.  Healing energy works by raising the vibrational level (frequency) of the person (plant, animal etc.) closer to that of the practitioner, balancing any energy blockages.  The ability to channel this energy, whether Reiki or another form of Energy Therapy, is activated through attunements performed by the Reiki Master and a series of symbols are used to activate higher vibrational levels of energy.  

Below are the 5 Principles of Usui Reiki, as transcribed from Sensi Mikao Usui.  When we recognize that emotions are what effect our energy and therefore our health, it becomes a practice of working with those emotions to release what does not serve us (negative emotions/vibrations) and balance those energies with positive emotions/vibrations.

1.   Just for today, I will not be angry.
Anger at others or oneself or at the whole world, creates serious blockages in one's energy. It is the most complex inner enemy. Reiki is an excellent tool to remove anger blockages which have accumulated in the body over years, but it cannot remove the residue of current anger which occurs daily. Letting go of anger. brings peace into the mind.

2.   Just for today, I will not worry.
While anger deals with past and present events, worry deals with future ones. Although worry is not always a negative phenomenon, endless worries may fill one's head, and each one bores a small hole in one's body and soul. While anger requires a focused Reiki treatment to remove obstacles, worry requires the energy to be spread throughout the entire body. Letting go of worry, brings healing into the body.

3.   Just for today, I will be grateful.
Be grateful from your heart inward. Inner intention is the important element in this principle. Simple things as thanks, forgiveness, smile, good words, gratitude can improve others life and make them happy. Being thankful brings joy into the spirit.

4.   Just for today, I will do my work honestly.
Support yourself and your family respectably, without harming others. Earn a respectable living, live a life of honor. Working honestly brings abundance into the soul.

5.   Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing.
Honor your parents, honor your teachers, honor your elders. Being kind brings love into the will.

What happens during a treatment?

During an energy session, suppressed emotions are released without the client having to remember the actual stressful event that caused the energy block. It is a safe, gentle, supportive method that can be used to release negative patterns of the past and help to empower and bring balance to your life. It is an extremely effective healing modality that releases stress, feelings of being overwhelmed, and negative emotions to allow your body to optimally function.

  • Reduces some of the side effects of drugs and helps the body to recover from drug therapy after surgery and chemotherapy,
  • Supports the immune system,
  • Increases vitality and postpones the aging process,
  • Raises the vibrational frequency of the body,
  • Helps spiritual growth and emotional clearing

Coaching CLIENT A-HA Moments!

The day I realized I didn’t have to believe or take in every thought I have was the tip of the transformation iceberg.
I was shocked at the world I had created around myself, none of it reflected back to me who I truly was because I was always living someone else’s life.
My body! I never listened to my body or really tuned into the intelligence of the natural world —- totally shifted how I look at everything and how I make my decisions. My body never fails to tell me the truth and it is my job to listen.
I had a very negative narrative around what I thought about myself, what I was capable of. To come to the realization that these were really only thoughts that I was giving power to and I could choose to unbelieve them and replace them with something that empowers me ... WHAM-O!
The fact that I didn’t have to buy into what our culture says and I could use my own wisdom as the better way to navigate my life, that was a huge a-ha.
Sooo many a-ha’s but the one that stands out is the power of intention and my shift in believing in myself to create the life that I truly desire. Why on earth don’t we believe in ourselves and go after what we truly want?!?
 

How to Become a Life Coach?

If you are considering becoming a coach I would highly suggest working with a coach first (after all, we are more effective at what we do, the more we do the work ourselves).  Currently coaching is an unregulated field, so there are many programs out there that can last any where from a weekend to 1+ years.  My suggestion when researching programs is to follow your gut, who do you resonate with the most, what material do they cover and what kind of coach do you want to be (Life, Career, Business, Soul, Weight-loss, Parenting, Acting, Speaking... the list goes on)?  Personally, I chose Martha Beck for her blended approach that incorporates spirituality, science and psychology in a very in-depth, hands-on year-long learning program.  Many programs are either fully or partially online, making it easy to choose the program that is right for you.  If you have more questions about becoming a coach, please know I am happy to answer them info@carolinewatters.ca
